Well Tim and I are through day four and doing very well! And yesterday being Wednesday I went to church to meet with the ladies in the Women of the Word. We had an amazing time together. Our bible study continued in the book of Samuel chapter 22.
If you have never really gotten into the book of Samuel I would highly suggest it!
Chapter 22 deals with Saul and his unbelievable mental problem...this started when David, who is destined to become the next king, and Saul come back from war, and the women are singing, Saul killed his thousands and David his ten thousands. And Saul heard this and took this into his gut and it started to fester...have you ever done this...something occurred and it didn't sit well with you. It can be someone who says something or has done something to you or to one of your children or your husband, or it could be something one of your children or husband has done, and not necessarily to you, but let's face it, our families behavior, we think, reflects on us. First of all we shouldn't feel this way...especially if our children are grown.
Back to the point, this thing occurs, whatever it may be and it starts to fester and fester, and as one woman said last evening, this thing had grown to the size of baby and she had gotten so used to carrying it around that she found it quite difficult to give up.
Well this is not a safe thing to do, because the longer you hold onto a perceived wrong, the more damage it can do. Like in the case of Saul. He turned into a mental case. He had 85 people murdered because of this perceived wrong that he was carrying around and had allowed to fester and infect his whole being, how sad is that? So if you have a perceived wrong in your life ask the Lord to help you to let it go...don't let it fester in you...that will only bring sadness and darkness to your soul, and this could also be considered a strong hold for the devil, and I don't know about you but I don't want to knowingly allow the devil any footholds in my life...
Well it is time for me to get ready for work and to find someone to bless, if you haven't ever done this, try it, not only are you potentially doing something nice for someone else you will feel the blessing yourself!
