How are you?

When is the last time someone asked you this question?  Now let's just get a quick sense of the truthfulness of the person who asked you that...was the question asked in passing?  Was the question asked with any sincerity at all?  Did the person asking the question, really want an answer?  Do they really care?  Or maybe you were the one doing the asking and the same questions applies to you...do you really care?

Word of the day -

Definition of ROTE

1
: the use of memory usually with little intelligence <learn by rote>
2
: mechanical or unthinking routine or repetition <a joyless sense of order, rote, and commercial hustle — L. L. King>

Alright now we are going to break this down a bit further...was the question asked in passing?  You know what I mean by this I am sure, but just in case you don't...you work in the grocery store and a customer comes up to you to ask a question and you say, "How are you"...do you really care? Or are these just blank words...taking up space in our world.  Probably the answer is the second...because if you really meant what you asked...wouldn't you be willing to do something to really help  them out in their situation? What ever it may be?

Okay the person asking, either it is you or someone else,...do they really want an answer?  So many of us have become like trained monkeys; by this I mean we do things by rote, we don't really pay any attention to what we are doing we just do it.  Yes..no...and this also applies to the words that come out of our mouths.  I bet you agree with this...even if you don't want to.

Was the question asked with any sincerity? Okay the person may care, and they may care more than superficially and this is a good thing...at least we are going in the correct direction.

Now let's flip the coin to the other side..the answer....most of the time no matter what, we say, "fine."  But do we really mean this? Or is the answer much more involved, but because we have also sank to a superficial level ourselves we give a rote  answer.

Do you know in the King James Version of the Bible there are 545 places this word, words,  is used. And if you search "words of my mouth," there are 14 references.  We are know by our words,  our words can build up....or tear down, What do you want to be know for good and kind and Godly words....or very unpleasant, mean and harsh words...and don't forget the proof is in the pudding.

    Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of myheart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lordmystrength and my Redeemer.
    Job 23:12
I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth More than my necessary food.
        Psalm 54:2
Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth.

        Proverbs 8:8
All the words of my mouth are with righteousness; Nothing crooked or
        perverse is in them.

When we first met someone..all they have to go by is our words and somewhat on our appearance,  I always told my children and I will now tell you.  Whether you want to believe it or not our words hold a lot of weight, as do our actions behind our words.  Just an example...if a person says, I love you and then two seconds later gives you a black eye.  That doesn't say love!  However if a person says, I love you and then helps you by sitting and listening to what is on your heart.  I do believe the second example says love much more clearly.  I want to be know by my words, as well as by my actions...so on this note, I am going to go and find someone to bless.

And don't forget if you are reading this from inside of this country or outside of this country.  I am not sure that my comment box is working all the time, but you can reach me at my email: picture_taker_ 04@hotmail.com. I would love to hear from you.  God bless you all and yes I really mean this!
