Our Walk with God....10~8~2013 Our Joy Meter!

Have you ever considered the word "JOY?"  1 8 7 !  That is how many times this word appears in the Bible...

Do you have a joy meter? 

If Joy is measured in Volts, this one is half full!

This looks like my Gas tank! But at least this is not what my joy meter looks like!

I do know and I have know in the past, when my Joy is missing!

        Is your joy present or absent?

This is joy to my cousin Elizabeth, as she gets to spend a little time with my grandson Levi!

And I think that Levi is feeling the joy as well!

Levi, like Eli...seen below... are both amazingly happy 

babies.

My husband and I have decided, that this past year, has had to have been the year of "HAPPY BABIES!"

BUT

If your joy is missing...oh the sadness...my dad, my earthly dad, once told me when I was struggling with intestinal issues, that my doctors had told me, was probably stress related, you have I am sure heard of IBS?

Well my dad said, if there is something in your life that is causing this much stress, change it!

However my heavenly Father would say PRAY about it...

talking to God can produce such amazing results.  He can change the circumstances that caused the IBS in the first place!

Back to JOY...

This past weekend, and no I didn't take pictures...where was my head...my head was with my heart, visiting with my Dad, and significant other, whose name is Herta...and I forgot to take pictures...Hey guys, you will have to come back, I forgot the pictures.

This was the first time I have seen my Dad and Herta in I think about 6 or 7 (maybe a little longer than that even) years.  And what a wonderful visit...we spent three hours together and it was completely joyful...how wonderful is that?

But my joy isn't based on seeing family that I haven't seen in years and years...it adds to it yes, but is my joy based on such earthly emotions?  NO!  my joy is based on my relationship with the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, you know, the Three in One! The Triune God!

Can't you just imagine God stepping out of these clouds?  I can!

If you are spending time being sad all the time, then something in your life is out of balance, out of whack, out of alignment, FIX IT, get on your knees, or don't get on your knees, I know that there are those of you out there that can not get on their knees...just talk to God...He's always there, where ever you are, He is there, just talk to Him!

Joy will be there, it will fill back up, believe me!
