It is a very cloudy day outside...the kind of day that as I get older I look out the window and think to myself, I will spend my day inside. I will write my blog and make some food and stay warm and cozy...Then Pop, the light bulb blinks on and it is back to reality. The temperature is 36 degrees (F) and this is 2 degrees (C), and it feels like 32 (F) or 0 (C). Anyway this picture that I have posted is of the pasture just across the little lane that runs past our house, and it is from about August I think.
But when I look out the window today, it is just as overcast, not so green, no leaves on the trees, and when I did see some birds a few moments ago they were flying with a major purpose in mind. Like, we need to take cover. It really looks like snow or sleet or I don't know I will have to wait and see.
However, tonite we, my husband Tim and I will be going to church to listen and learn from an amazing speaker, Pastor Todd White, he is on staff at our church and is an awsome man of God. I have heard him speak, but my husband hasn't and I am anxious to see the results. My husband is very steadily becoming an amazing man of God himself, he may not be a pastor,
but he is my head of our house, and I couldn't be happier with this.
I have recently been listening to a women speak on WDAC radio on FAMILY TALK - James Dobson and her name is Linda Dillow, the name of the three part program is "What's It Like to Be Married to Me?" it has been extremely interesting to listen to and might I say it has given me some different perspectives as well. Here is the link if any of you are interested in listening to this wonderful woman. And she gets quite in depth so you might want to listen without the little ones around. http://www.drjamesdobson.org/Broadcasts/Broadcast?i=d6e9077b-def0-4570-94ce-44081959f32f
She has definitely given me some food for thought. Have any of you men and women out there who are married, (or living with someone) ever asked yourselves, what is it like to be married to me? And be serious when you ask this question. Maybe just thinking about this privately will help us to make some positive changes in our lives, but you know when you are dealing with such in issue, isn't it good to have an accountability partner? Just something to think about....
Well part of my life being married to the wonderful Timothy A. Smith, is that I am his barber and this morning he is getting a haircut. I cut his hair on the same schedule as I cut my bangs, I know this is probably silly, but when my bangs start to get longer I feel a bit sloppy, and if I feel that way from my bangs being long how must my Tim feel when all the hair on his head is getting to long? Hmm what a sloppy mess....I know Timmy will smile when he reads this, Love you honey!
So I am going to go and do this and then make some bacon and eggs and then I will probably knit a bit, I have got to get scarves made. And I will be a blessing to someone today, how about you.
