I Promised You Pictures....

We heat with wood...as you can see...so there are times during the winter that time is spent cutting wood.  My husband has been doing a great deal of this with our one son Scott.  Yesterday morning we headed out to the lower side of the pasture, it had to be early because the ground is still frozen...to collect the wood that was already cut to gather it up and on the truck.  So Tim loaded up the wood stove before we went out.

Louis was so excited!  He loves to be outside, but boy oh boy can he get dirty.  So at the end of the day I bring a 22 quart stock pot out to the back porch, with warm water and give him a quick bath.  It works, when it is to cold to have the hose connected.

This was the second load, and we took this one to Rose and Bills...They burn wood as well, but it is not there main source of heat.

Tim and I taken with the timer on my camera.  I know we both look somewhat disreputable, but you don't wear good clothes when you are out cutting wood....Tim is out there again this morning...I am doing laundry and I am also going to make a pumpkin roll when I am finished here.
